The International House of Poultry

9-28-2020

PAX: Yo-Yo Ma (F3), Petri (FiA), Urkel (F3) (QIC)

Conditions: Wet

In April we moved about 35 minutes away from the closest AO. When there was no school, I could just go workout and get to work early. After school started I have to get my 2.5 to school. So either he has to leave with me at 4:30 am. (He is not a fan of that idea), My M has to drive him to school and then go back home everyday when I work in the same building (She is not a fan of that idea), or I don’t go to the workout (I am not a fan of that idea). For now, we have going with option 3. I have gained 12 pounds (Still 30 less than January).

It has been about 7 weeks since my last regular post and I can feel the Sad Clown Syndrome coming back. Something has to be done. During Sunday dinner I announced that anyone who wanted to workout Monday morning should meet by the light pole (kindly furnished by Dominion Energy for the low cost of $15/month) at 0530 for a boot camp beatdown. Yo-Yo Ma and Petri responded to the call. Cher was seen wandering the house muttering something about homework and football, but he did not venture outside.

Yo-Yo Ma christened our home AO, The International House of Poultry, a reference to the many winged, egg-laying residents as well as Nugget our resident rooster.

Moleskin:

  • It felt good to get up and get after it again this morning.

  • I have never done a workout with 2 cats joining in before.

  • Petri is a beast. She has been running a lot on her own and it showed.

  • Yo-Yo took advantage of being close to the house for a mid-workout potty stop.

  • I hope that this will be the first of many home workouts, but I also look forward to joining my brothers in the gloom.

Urkel Out!
